Be Creative

Be Creative

Coronavirus Update:

The Be Creative group is currently on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

About the group

The Be Creative group is a group who enjoy sewing, knitting, crochet, and paper crafting.  Along with working on our own projects, we have done projects for St John’s, such as the white bunting we made for the children’s group, which they were then able to decorate themselves.

We’ve also made drawstring bags for the children supported by Child Action Lanka, we’ve helped to knit poppies to decorate the church on Remembrance Sunday, made welcome banners for the church, and Christmas Hamper Cards for The Besom.

We also play a part in the Eco Church and have a table at the Eco Church Fairs, where we show different ways of mending household items that have broken. We encourage and can often demonstrate simple “reuse and recycle” methods so that everyone can play their part in saving our planet!

When do we meet?

We are a fun group who look forward to welcoming any newcomers who come our way! We meet every Friday (in school term time) between 12 and 2pm in the Atrium Cafe area of the Easter Centre.

This group runs over lunchtimes on a week day so that any local people taking their lunch break can take a break from their desk and have some fun!

We also run one day workshops where you can learn new skills, finish your own project or just come and socialise.
