Children
Mark 9.37 says ‘Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me.’
About the children’s ministry
At St. John’s we consider every child to be an important and precious gift from God.
Each and every child has a valuable part to play in our church family and we enjoy experiencing what they have to offer to the life of the church.
What to expect
Our main teaching time takes place on a Sunday morning during the 11am service.
We aim to create a welcoming, caring and loving environment where children can have a fun time worshipping God and learning about Jesus through a variety of styles, including interactive teaching, stories, prayer, singing, puppets, games and craft.
Our desire is that every child will have the opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ and our fully committed children’s workers will support them on their journey of faith.
Special activities
We hold special activities throughout the year – our annual Holiday Club, Christmas craft afternoon, Spring Party and more. See our upcoming church events page for more.
Regular midweek activities
There are also some midweek activities to bring children along to, such as Playtime, Praise Tots and Coffee and Chat, as well as our own nursery school, Playbox. We also have uniformed groups.
Please contact Rachel Upcott if you would like further details.
