Giving
Your giving matters now, more than ever!
In the face of this global crisis, we are doing everything we can to offer help to those who need it. Because of your support we can continue to run our Sunday services and children’s & youth work online. We are also able to help those most vulnerable in our community by providing both practical and financial support through our pastoral care team and our Hardship Fund. Support is also being given by our Debt Counselling Sservice (C.A.P.) and via the Runnymede Foodbank.
So much of what we do at St John’s is made possible by your giving. However, if you are struggling financially due to the crisis, please feel under no pressure to give.
Thank You
WAYS TO GIVE
Support the day to day running costs by becoming a St John’s Partner and make a regular donation via the Parish Giving Scheme – please click here for more information on becoming a Partner.
Support the day to day running costs by making a “one off” donation – click here (all you need is a bank card, note that gift aid details will be taken if required once the payment has been made).
Support the Hardship Fund which is helping people in financial hardship due to the crisis– click here (note that gift aid details will be taken if required once the payment has been made).
Donate towards reducing the loan for the building costs of the Easter Centre – click here.
Payroll giving via your employer – many employers offer Payroll Giving which allows you to give directly to St John’s from your salary before tax is deducted. This means if you give £100 per month and are a basic rate taxpayer, the gift will only cost you £80 from your net pay. If you pay a higher rate of tax, £100 a month will only cost you £60 from your net pay. To find out if your employer offers Payroll Giving, contact your HR office. Some employers are prepared to match your giving with their own donation, effectively doubling its value, click here for a list of companies that are known to do this.
Charitable Aid Agencies – You may wish to give via a charitable aid agency such as Stewardship, JustGiving, CAF, Charities Trust, or Charitable Giving. These agencies are useful for those who give to multiple charities and wish to have their giving recorded in one place or for those who wish to give anonymously.
Send a Cheque – To give via cheque, please make the cheque payable to ‘PCC St John’s Egham’ and post it to Lesley Pocock, c/o The Church Office, Easter Centre, Manor Farm Lane, Egham TW20 9HR.
Gift Aid – If you are a UK taxpayer, we can significantly increase your donations of cheque/cash by reclaiming tax under the Gift Aid scheme at no additional cost to you. Please complete a Gift Aid Form (click here) and post to Lesley Pocock, c/o The Church Office, Easter Centre, Manor Farm Lane, Egham TW20 9HR
Lastly, you can choose to leave a gift in your will. If you would like to find out more about how to do that or how your gift will be spent, please feel free to contact us. This information will be treated in confidence and is not binding in any way.
Thank you for considering to support God’s work in Egham and beyond and if you require further information or would like to discuss donating to St John’s please contact the church office.
